- Dutton injured

Report
Our third match against Hizza ended in a sad defeat, that's 3 on the bounce now against these guys, we have to make sure we put things right in the final match at the Entaco.
Chaps had a strong first half, let down by a lack of concentration right at the end gifting 2 goals to Hizza. Fronk's 3–5–2 formation pitching Slater into the centre of the park was working well, it was great to see the young man back on the field after a month out and his natural, thoughtful approach play saw him gel well with captain Whalley and the much improved Feasey Bear. With just 10 minutes gone, Slater had already found his footing in the game and, coolly intercepting a Hizza pass, he ran into the middle of the park and played a delicious through ball to Hobbis. Hobbis, a willing runner all game, set himself well with a touch but sadly pulled his shot just wide of the right hand post.
Moments earlier the impressive Feasey played a lovely ball down the middle to Hobbis who was unlucky to see his first time shot curl wide. The first half was quite balanced, with some very good performances but sadly Dutton took a knock after being on the end of a two-man sliding challenge from our founder Farr. He was replaced on the half hour mark by King.
For the second half Slater pushed up front with Hobbis as Mosedale was withdrawn and Tindall introduced after a lengthy absence. This worked well as Slater pounced on a Hizza goal kick, nodding a delicate ball into the path of Hobbis whose sheer determination gave him the opportunity to poke the ball into the back of the net ahead of the onrushing keeper, his second goal of the season. This was to be the Hizza Utd keepers' last action as he was left in a bundle of tears and withdrawn after a 5 minute delay to the game.
Chap of the Match today goes to Feasey. I've bashed him for a couple of weeks now but only because I know he is capable of performances like he put on today. He was dictating play, tackling well, closing down players all over the pitch and doing his utmost to energise the team on a very difficult surface. I haven't seen him play this well for a long time but I have always believed he could get back to this level, Hizza struggled to cope with him today. The breakfast diet is working Bear, keep it up!
